    House Mates is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Saturday appointments may be available by request depending on scheduling. We are closed on Sundays.

    Deep cleaning is recommended for first-time visits, homes that haven’t been professionally cleaned recently, or homes needing extra attention.

  • Are estimates free?

    Yes. All estimates are completely free with no obligation.

  • Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

    No. Many clients provide entry instructions or use lockboxes, garage codes, or smart locks. As long as we have safe access to the home, you do not need to be present during the appointment.

  • Do I need to provide cleaning supplies?

    No. Our teams arrive fully equipped with professional cleaning supplies and equipment.

    If you prefer specific products to be used in your home, just let us know ahead of time.

  • Are your cleaners background checked and trained?

    Yes. We work with carefully vetted cleaning professionals who are trained to follow our checklist-based cleaning system to ensure consistent, high-quality results.

  • Are you insured?

    Yes. House Mates carries general liability insurance to help protect your home and belongings during service.

  • Do you clean inside ovens and refrigerators?

    Yes. Interior oven and refrigerator cleaning are available as optional add-on services.

    For refrigerator cleanings, we ask that the refrigerator be emptied before the appointment.

  • Do you clean inside cabinets and windows?

    Yes. Interior cabinet cleaning and interior window cleaning are available for move-in/move-out and deep cleaning services.

    Window cleaning includes interior glass and accessible window areas only. Exterior window cleaning and blinds are not included.

  • How long does a cleaning usually take?

    Cleaning times vary depending on the size and condition of the home and the type of service requested.

    Most cleanings are completed by a professional team and are scheduled with enough time to maintain quality and attention to detail.

  • Do you bring the same team each visit?

    We do our best to provide consistency whenever possible, especially for recurring clients. However, scheduling and availability may occasionally require team adjustments.

    Regardless of the team assigned, all cleanings follow our detailed service system and checklists.

  • What happens if I’m not happy with the cleaning?

    Your satisfaction is important to us. If something was missed or needs additional attention, please contact us within 24 hours so we can review the issue and make it right.

  • What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

    We understand that schedules change. We ask for as much notice as possible for cancellations or reschedules.

    Appointments canceled with short notice may be subject to a cancellation fee due to reserved scheduling time.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept most major credit and debit cards along with other electronic payment methods.

    Payment is typically due on the day of service unless otherwise arranged.

  • Do you accept tips?

    Yes, tips are always appreciated but never expected. Many clients choose to tip their cleaning professionals for exceptional service.

  • Do you clean occupied and vacant homes?

    Yes. We clean both occupied homes and vacant homes for move-in, move-out, listing preparation, and apartment turnover services.

    For move-in/move-out cleaning, the home should be completely empty before the appointment for best results.
